AmeriCorps VISTA Leader
 
 
 
The VISTA Leader will expand and enhance current project success and sustainability by recruiting VISTA members, orchestrating training's, maintaining regular communication with VISTAs, and promoting member success stories. The VISTA Leader will support the activities of VISTAs who are working to alleviate poverty by building capacity in their sites, focusing economic opportunities and healthy futures. Qualified candidates must have completed a VISTA term, Full time AmeriCorps or Peace Corps to be eligible to serve as a VISTA Leader. The mission at NyECC is to grow healthy organizations, people and environments (HOPE) across Nye, Esmeralda and Lincoln Counties by joining together individuals, organizations, and agencies in a cooperative and collaborative effort to increase services and opportunities. NyECC has increased professionalism, knowledge and skills in the prevention organizations and created comprehensive preventative efforts across Nye and Esmeralda Counties.

Member Duties : Ensure that the AmeriCorps VISTA members are provided the necessary resources such as professional development, feedback, mentorship, and support. The AmeriCorps VISTA Leader will expand the overall VISTA project by identifying new partners, organizations, and communities who would benefit from a VISTA member, and building capacity around poverty-eradicating programs and services. The VISTA Leader will work expand and ensure recognition of the AmeriCorps VISTA program within the community and community partners in order to facilitate members in capacity building acitivities.
