Medical Reserve Corps Volunteer & Program Coordinator VISTA

Pierce County Medical Reserve Corps is a growing and well established unit of medical and non-medical volunteers. As non-profit organization with several years of experience, we support our communities of focus or vulnerable populations in day-to-day health events, as well as respond to emergency events. PCMRC is a board-driven organization, with many partners and public health responsibilities, managing over 500 members, collectively emphasizing the need for a comprehensive Concept of Operations plan that outlines our response activities. This plan has been drafted, and the Pierce County Medical Reserve Corps is in need of personnel to implement the Operations section of the plan, including the establishment of a training and exercise program for members to include plan elements, the assignment of Incident Command System roles to volunteers, and role-specific training of volunteers. By addressing this need, the Pierce County Medical Reserve Corps’ response capabilities will be greatly enhanced.
