18' Dupage Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Engagement Leader
 
 
 
DuPage Habitat is in the midst of substantial growth and development. We are a midsized affiliate serving over 20 families per year and we have an aggressive growth plan that will continue to increase the number of families served throughout the foreseeable future. We are seeking to make a long-term impact on the supply of affordable housing in DuPage County and the lives of Habitat homeowners. The Volunteer Engagement Leader will run new workshops at local libraries about homeownership to teach local residents about how to be a better homeowner and how to ensure that others have the opportunity to do so as well. The Volunteer Engagement Leader will also lead programs to engage youth in a meaningful way. We currently cannot accommodate most kids under 16 and virtually no kids under 14 so this person would help us to change that! We are anticipating that the Volunteer Engagement Leader would prepare and lead at least 4-6 workshops each week. The position may also be asked to assist with hosting new special build days for the affiliate to draw in volunteers with out-of-the norm opportunities like a young professional networking build or a themed 4th of July BBQ build.

Member Duties : • Lead programming for youth and adults to attract new volunteers and utilize volunteers in new ways. • Assist with recruitment for new volunteers. • Implement fun build days for new volunteers. • Expand and create new youth opportunities. • Increase affiliate’s ability to recruit new volunteers and program applicants. Give volunteers new opportunities to volunteer.
