18' Dupage Habitat for Humanity Constrution Logistics Summer
 
 
 
DuPage Habitat is in the midst of substantial growth and development. We are a midsized affiliate serving over 20 families per year and we have an aggressive growth plan that will continue to increase the number of families served throughout the foreseeable future. We are seeking to make a long-term impact on the supply of affordable housing in DuPage County and the lives of Habitat homeowners.

Member Duties : The Expediting, Inventory & Logistics Specialist is responsible for assisting in the processes of permitting, purchasing, scheduling, and materials management related to Habitat's construction projects while maintaining oversight in the daily operation of the Inventory systems and its associated functions. • Facilitate a positive, team-oriented environment in which all volunteers are given the opportunity to achieve their full potential • In coordination with the Volunteer Coordinator and Director of Construction, ensure that there is sufficient volunteer labor to provide supplemental work on all work sites • At the direction by the Director of Construction work with municipalities to acquire required variances • Serve as a liaison to outside material suppliers • At the direction by the Director of Construction, order materials for each job site and ensure that materials are delivered to work sites on time and in the most efficient manner possible
