The Learning Community is a vibrant public school serving Central Falls, Providence and Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The Learning Community is a K-8 school serving over 574 students directly and hundreds of other teachers and students in schools where we work as professional development partners. At The Learning Community, we believe that literacy empowers each individual to have a voice, assume community responsibility and take social action. We expect leadership at every level. We grow teacher leaders, student leaders and community leaders. As the Data and Research VISTA you will help to streamline processes that will support decision making to support our student achievement and systems used for students enrollment and teacher assignment. Member Duties : The Data and Research VISTA will work in close collaboration with The Learning Community's Director of Data and Information Systems to refine and analyze existing systems and protocols. Systems include data management to support teachers with their decision making in regards to student performance, tracking statewide comparative data, and proposing changes to the tools currently in use. This position will also involve research and documentation of the school's student enrollment and teacher assignment data systems.
