NeighborWorks VISTA, Education and Engagement Coordinator

NeighborWorks Home Partners is a premier nonprofit homeownership center with resources to help people buy homes and be powerful and informed consumers. We have incorporated technology to increase our capacity to serve greater numbers of homebuyers and help close the homeownership gap, and need your help to engage with the technology more fully. With our increased capacity we also want to broaden our offerings of community-based education programs related to owning a a home, improving credit, understanding finances, and more. If you're able to take on this challenge, you will be helping people access down payment assistance, homebuyer education, credit help, and home improvement funding. Many of our customers would not be able to achieve homeownership without this help. This is an experience that can make an impact not just for a lifetime, but for generations to come.

Member Duties : As our VISTA member you will: 1.) Implement technology to increase efficiency in serving customers. You will be teaching our staff as well as our customers how to use tools like SalesForce to manage customer communication, improve contact with partners and referral sources, and collect customer information. Continue development of leads management process to help engage potential customers. Evaluate customer needs and barriers and design information materials and trainings to enable customers to better access our services. 2.) Create community education presentations that introduce NWHP to greater community audiences. This may include development of a financial basics course targeted to college students (traditional and non-traditional) to introduce concepts of homeownership. 3.) Develop evaluation measures to identify strengths and weaknesses and areas for improvement in programming.
