2018 Summer Rapid Re-Housing VISTA
 
 
 
All Chicago Making Homelessness History prevents & ends homelessness through 4 approaches. Our Emergency Financial Assistance approach provides short-term funding to people experiencing an emergency that could lead to homelessness or other crises. Our Community Partnerships approach provides the backbone of a city-wide response to homelessness by partnering with 44 agencies and leading them through a year-round research, evaluation, strategic planning, and federal funding application process. Our Data Analytics approach collects and analyzes data through the Homeless Management Information System. Our Training & Research approach provides trainings, workshops, research, and analysis to help our partners apply proven strategies more effectively.All Chicago leads the Rapid Re-Housing Partnership through ESG funds. In this role, All Chicago provides ongoing support and leadership in implementing Rapid Re-Housing (RRH). All Chicago monitors programs and provides technical assistance to these partners. The RRH VISTA will work alongside the Director of Continuum of Care programs in developing recommendations, tools, and plans to improve the implementation of RRH through landlord engagement, roommate models and progressive engagement. The result of the project will be enhanced tools to improve partner performance.The ideal candidate will be a motivated, team-focused, collaborative individual. The candidate should be strong in public speaking and relationship-building, facilitating meetings and trainings of stakeholders. The candidate should be interested in best practices, research, data analysis, data-informed decision making and coordinating system level change & will be solution-focused and re-frames challenges as opportunities. Skills in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel.

Member Duties : The Rapid ReHousing (RRH) VISTA will meet the following objectives during their service. By August 17th, 2018, the RRH VISTA will research and develop a document of recommendations to enhance landlord engagement. By August 17th, 2018 the RRH VISTA will research and develop a document of practices and resources on programs utilizing roommates. By August 17th, 2018 the RRH VISTA will research and develop a document of best practices and resources on implementing progressive engagement.
