Habitat for Humanity - Pathways to Employment

As our VISTA with Genesee County Habitat for Humanity, you’ll provide support for the organization’s Apprenticeship Program which provides construction training for Flint residents and helps create construction jobs to renovate Flint homes for lead remediation. Our VISTA will provide outreach to the Flint community about the program, act as a liaison between Habitat for Humanity and social enterprise agencies, and provide program support for the Apprenticeship Program through data tracking and analysis. In this role, not only will you be helping the 9% of Flint residents who are unemployed find meaningful and sustainable work, you’ll be addressing one of the nation’s greatest environment injustices.
