Financial Coaching Outreach Coordinator (Portland, OR)
 
 
 
The Family Success Center (FSC), a program of Catholic Charities Oregon is located in Portland, and provides services to low-income clients throughout the state. Catholic Charities of Oregon is the largest social service agency in the northwest and core to its mission is to help people move up the economic ladder out of poverty. The VISTA member placed in our department will serve as our Coaching Outreach Coordinator. During the year this VISTA member will assist in developing an annual recruitment plan for volunteers, streamline the onboarding of volunteers, and monitor the evaluation process for volunteers for quality assurance. This VISTA member will assist in developing a community outreach plan for statewide expansion of our coaching services. Finally, the member will work as part of the team in developing our online platform for delivery of financial coaching services. The Catholic Charities VISTA will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by assisting in the launch of FSC as a social enterprise to expand the reach of our services to those most in need. As a Catholic Charities VISTA you will be part of a cohort coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Early applications strongly encouraged. Selections made on a rolling basis.

Member Duties : As a VISTA member at Catholic Charities’ Family Success Center you will be part of an exciting year of expansion throughout the State of Oregon. This VISTA position will increase the volunteer financial coach base, and streamlining the process of onboarding and training coaches while, develop a model of service delivery for expansion of the financial coaching services to reach those experiencing poverty both within the metro area and in rural communities across the State. VISTAs serve their communities through indirect service. As a VISTA you will have limited interaction with our clients and be based in an office setting. Applicant should hold a four-year degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar field, or four years of relevant work experience, or a combination thereof. Applicant should have excellent skills in communication, time management, multitasking, and organization. Applicant should have proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
