Seattle Habitat for Humanity Construction Volunteer Lead

Seattle/King County Habitat for Humanity’s mission directed service to our community is a direct reflection of the urgent need for safe and affordable housing in our community. Habitat is unique in that we partner with low-income households in order to provide a lasting and permanent affordable housing solution through our affordable homeownership program. Habitat also partners with current low-income homeowners through our Neighborhood Revitalization program in order to affordably repair, strengthen, and beautify their homes. Habitat is a hand up, not a hand out. Habitat is a hand up, not a hand out. Our homeowners participate in the building and repair of their own homes alongside hundreds of volunteers each year that are drawn from businesses, local and national schools, religious groups, active and retired members of the armed forces, and dozens of additional partners. This community support is built on our reputation as a regional and national leader in affordable housing because of our innovative solutions in affordable homeownership and neighborhood revitalization programming.
