Cornerstone-VOATexas-Resource Development VISTA-Dallas

Volunteers of America Texas is a faith-based, nonprofit organization that lifts the most vulnerable in society out of the shadows. We step forward to help individuals find strength, healing & their full potential through services, including: • Addiction treatment, prevention and recovery programs; • Affordable housing for seniors, low-income families & adults with disabilities; • Community re-entry programs from those transitioning from prison; • Housing and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities; • A continuum of support services to assist our clients and address the needs of the whole person. With locations in more than 30 urban and rural communities, we’ve been making a difference for those who need the most help in Texas for close to 100 years. VOA Texas VISTA members will develop sustainable systems that will help us better serve our clients and donors. Projects include developing a system to gather & share client stories in a meaningful and thoughtful way so that other may understand the impact of our programs; assisting with grant proposals for our evidence-based programs; continuing the development of processes & systems that help us better track & steward donors & analyze donor information for more strategic outreach; and assisting in the Hope for the Holidays Giving Campaign & other special events. Serving with VOA Texas, VISTA members will enjoy the opportunity to promote the culture of service within our communities, our programs, our clients and staff. Working closely with clients, colleagues & community members, VISTA members will serve to plan program tours; cultivate donors; support funding requests; develop strategic relationships; represent VOA in the community; and enhance the services provided to our clients. VISTAs will be required pass background, drug and motor vehicle screenings. Applicants must have reliable transportation and auto insurance. Evenings and weekends may be required.
