Enlist talent, skill and commitment to service that contributes to NJCC’s evidence-based framework and associated capacity building strategies to: (1) establish NJCC as the CDFI of choice to appropriate stakeholders; AND (2) realize marketing, financial & investment benchmarks in order to sustain & grow status as an industry ‘thought leader’ in tactical community development. To build the capacity of municipal, nonprofit and resident leaders, along with key resource providers and stakeholders located in our most distressed communities statewide, in ways that result in an improved policy & regulatory environment that help reduce poverty and increase intergenerational wealth.

Member Duties : Working with the Dir. of CS& CS Coordinator, the Member will develop our overall policy building strategy by expanding the extent & quality of the work of CS around building capacity in local systems & stakeholders to drive neighborhood revitalization. Activities include: a. Conducting research to deliver information needed to determine strategies and actions, e.g., developing a template for our Neighborhood Market Condition Assessment process. b. Refining public policy & best practices research that is distributed to our target communities. c. Providing support to the CS group with respect to working with local nonprofits & communities to provide deep-dive neighborhood revitalization support. This includes: assistance with neighborhood revitalization plans and project applications; trainings for activities like the benefits of neighborhood revitalization, marketing and branding the neighborhood; and determining high impact revitalization strategies.
