THN Homeless Coalition Coordination VISTA (Austin)
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness. This VISTA project will build capacity to increase THN’s support and communication with Local Homeless Coalitions (LHC’s), work on enhancing consulting with Con Plan jurisdictions and developing ongoing communication specific to ESG (Emergency Solutions Grant) recipients. To achieve this goal, the VISTA will assist the Balance of State team with a communication plan and toolkits for LHC’s, communication plan and tools for Con Plan jurisdictions consultations, communication plan and needs assessment for ESG engagement.

Member Duties : 1.) Familiarize with current communications with Texas Local homeless coalitions and grant recipients. 2.) Research current communication and development requirements from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and other funders. 3.) Organize and participate in the application of new and enhanced processes. 4.) Work with initiative partners and community leadership to expand coordination efforts in the state. 5.)
