Rural Networking VISTA

United Way of Pioneer Valley brings together non-profits, businesses, governmental agencies, and municipalities to seek resources that will address community challenges. Examples include acting as the voice for non-profits and other businesses through our policy work. We also assist non-profits with connecting to resources, training, and funding to enhance their organizational operations and better serve their clients. Additionally, we accept and leverage funding from public and private sources outside the region to support local non-profits and community initiatives. United Way also offers volunteer match support and free online services to engage thousands of volunteers of all ages. We connect them with meaningful projects for non-profits throughout the region. This VISTA will play an active role in learning what resources exist for low to moderate income residents, particularly in our rural communities, mapping these resources, and researching what else may be available to address gaps in services.
