Member Duties : VISTA assignments will include:
•Community Assessment/ Resource Assessment and/or Readiness Assessment – help design assessment plans, summarize, help develop an opioid prevention specific action plans, help implement and evaluate plans.
•Community Awareness & Mobilization – develop opioid prevention and awareness based PR media plan, develop or implement existing presentations, articles and PSA’s
•Build Capacity for our adult/youth coalitions – attend monthly coalition meetings, assist with community events, help expand existing coalitions by helping to develop new community partnerships, help develop better means of communication between coalitions and other agencies or partners (ie newsletter, social media etc.)
•Help secure financial resources – assist coalitions in researching potential funding for resources
•Build Capacity for Southwest Behavioral Health Center - attend monthly staff meetings, attend SAPST training, continue to develop potential community partnerships
