18-19 Catherine McAuley Center: Operational VISTA

The goal of this project is to develop, implement, and/or enhance internal systems and operations at the Catherine McAuley Center (CMC) to contribute to more effective and efficient delivery of services and leveraging resources. Women in CMC’s Transitional Housing Program are survivors of trauma and experience barriers employment, housing, and social relationships. The 450+ refugees and immigrants served by CMC’s Adult Basic Education and Refugee & Immigrant Services Programs experience barriers to financial stability, including language, cultural, or educational barriers. The VISTA will improve efficiency and operations in the areas of food pantry coordination and management, client housing identification, volunteer screening, client transportation, and data management. As a result, CMC’s will be able to better support positive outcomes for clients.

Member Duties : The VISTA will streamline management of CMC food/supply pantry to improve coordination and increase efficiency. Develop an effective housing identification & maintenance system to include relationship-building with landlords, interventions and welfare checks. Additionally, VISTA will streamline the volunteer background screening system to ensure efficient and timely screening of all active volunteers. Lastly, provide support in streamlining and increasing efficiency/effectiveness of CMC systems and operations, including Salesforce data-management systems, reports, dashboards and other internal systems and operations.
