NYC VISTA - Community and Government Partnerships VISTA

The VISTA will develop strategies that provide schools with more frequent and deeper access to social services and supports provided by fellow City agencies and nonprofit partners, with a focus on addressing hunger, homelessness and support for immigrant families. Help expand communication and engagement approaches using social media, website content, video and related virtual approaches. The member will focus their service on creating partnerships with nonprofits and City agencies to systematically address hunger, housing, healthcare, workforce opportunities, and immigration legal services. Additionally, members will work with other team members of the Office of Community Schools, gather and disseminate information relevant to accessing programs and supports as noted above, and generally support the expansion of communications between the Office of Community Schools and key stakeholders.
