NYC VISTA Leader
 
 
 
NYC VISTA members serve in New York City government agencies, with a mission of building capacity to advance equity and help lift New Yorkers out of poverty. NYC VISTA members create project management data tracking systems, develop resources, and organize outreach. NYC VISTA is administered by NYC Service, a division of the Office of the Mayor. Two 2018-2019 NYC VISTA Leaders will support, mentor, and guide 39 VISTA members placed at the following NYC agencies: Administration for Children’s Services, City’s Commission on Human Rights, Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, Department of Education, Department of Probation, Department of Social Services, and NYC Service. In addition to supporting members and host sites through site visits and coaching sessions, one Leader will support the development and implementation of member professional development, while the other Leader will support the development and implementation of member and host site surveys and data collection. Member Duties : To qualify for this position, you must have successfully completed one full term as a national service member. The two (2) NYC VISTA Leaders will play a key role in the professional development, retention, and support of 39 NYC VISTA Members. Key VISTA Leader roles include, but are not limited to: coordinating member monthly professional development training throughout the year, conducting site visits, supporting the recruitment of members, collecting and analyzing program data and ensuring project sustainability.
