NYC VISTA - Legal Initiatives VISTA
 
 
 
The Mayor's Office of Immigrants Affairs (MOIA) promotes the well-being of immigrant communities. In the de Blasio administration, we have prioritized three broad goals: enhance the economic, civic, and social integration of immigrant New Yorkers; facilitate access to justice for immigrant New Yorkers; and advocate for continued immigration reforms at all levels of government in order to eliminate inequities that impact New York's immigrant communities. To achieve our goal of facilitating access to legal justice for immigrant New Yorkers, MOIA’s Legal Initiatives team manages two programs, ActionNYC, a community-based immigration legal services program, and NYCitizenship, a citizenship legal services based in NYC’s public libraries. As a VISTA Member, you will serve as an integral part of our team by supporting program management, engage in program data analysis, and develop and maintain program operating manuals guides.

Member Duties : As a VISTA, you will provide capacity building support for programs to ensure immigrant New Yorkers are connected to high-quality, free, and safe immigration legal services. Primarily, you will: 1.Support regular ActionNYC and NYCitizenship program oversight and ongoing implementation activities by meeting with City agencies and providers to ensure program implementation deliverables are being met. 2.Support development and maintenance of program operating manuals and implementation guides for ActionNYC and NYCitizenship. 3.Analyzing ActionNYC and NYCitizenship program data on a monthly and quarterly basis and develop reports on program progress and deliverables. 4.Develop and implementing qualitative data reporting systems so that MOIA can communicate successes and highlights from ActionNYC and NYCitizenship. 5.Collaborate with ActionNYC technical assistance partners and Legal Initiatives team to coordinate in-person ActionNYC convening and develop training agendas
