Member Duties : As an NYC VISTA member, your role will include supporting MOIA’s Language Access Services work, including:
•Coordinating interpretation and translation requests for colleagues
•Liaising with vendors that provide interpretation and translation services
•Coordinating with volunteers for Mayoral events where interpretation is needed and ensuring smooth flow of operations
•Developing tools for improving the quality of translated material
•Coordinating training for staff on language services
•Help track MOIA’s language rights work and analyze data
•Support other Language Access Services projects, including research, writing, and materials development
