NYC VISTA - Language Access Services VISTA

MOIA’s Immigrant Inclusion Team works with city agencies to improve policies and access to services for immigrants. One way we do this is by improving the City’s multilingual communications with limited English proficient (LEP) New Yorkers. Through our Language Rights work, MOIA provides guidance to city agencies to ensure that they are accessible to LEP New Yorkers; manages contracts with vendors that provide translation and interpretation services; and coordinates interpretation services and translation of materials to ensure that mayoral events and information are accessible to LEP members of the public. This position is ideal for candidates who are interested in improving the accessibility of NYC government services and information for limited English speakers.
