E3.18 Community Energy Program Developer VISTA
 
 
 
Purpose of this is to increase and deepen partnerships with organizations and volunteers to reduce energy poverty with the Giving Comfort At Home program. Develop a sustainable funding plan for Ecolibrium3 that will continue to advance anti-poverty energy programs. Key Responsibilities Specific Duties: 1. In conjunction with Ecolibrium3 staff, recruit, assist with training, orient, and place volunteers within Ecolibrium3 programs. 2. Assist with development of evaluation tools for assessing the success of the volunteer efforts and incorporate into a volunteer management plan. 3. Be familiar with Ecolibrium3’s programs, activities, and priorities and how resources can support them. 4. Work with Ecolibrium3 staff to develop record and institutionalize policies and procedures. 5. Attend staff meetings and other meetings as needed. 6. Participate in training related to volunteer, nonprofit, and grants management as needed. 7. Expand and develop key partnerships to advance Ecolibrium3 mission to address energy poverty issues. 8. Assist in fundraising and development of a 5-year sustainable funding plan. Job Relationships 1. Will work with Ecolibrium3 CEO to develop skills and set goals for position. 2. Will receive support from other Ecolibrium3 VISTA cohort members serving in the community including training and community programming. 3. Will work with community members, partner organizations, and funders to advance Ecolibrium3 anti-poverty mission. Qualifications Required 1. Organizational skills and attention to details 2. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations 3. Interpersonal and communication skills 4. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team 5. Familiarity with issues of low-income families Hours per Week: 40 per week requiring some flexibility on nights and weekend for Ecolibrium3 activities and events.

Member Duties : To address energy poverty & reduce the health concerns related to unsafe housing faced by low-income, elderly, & disabled individuals, the member will expand partnerships, develop a sustainable volunteer and recruitment management system, and establish a 5-year resource plan. 1.Assess the current state of Ecolibrium3’s efforts in recruiting and training volunteers for Giving Comfort at Home program, and create or revise policies, procedures, and documents to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of volunteer recruitment and retention. 2. Identify and expand partnership with volunteer and faith-based organizations, efficiency material suppliers, and local utilities to develop long-term in-kind and financial resources for the GC@H program to assist up to 50 households per year. 3. Develop an overall policy, procedures, and data management guide for the GC@H program that reflects best practices and train program staff to implement.
