The Northern New England Campus Compact VISTA Program is focused on the development of programming on campuses across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont that will increase access to higher education for low income individuals by providing programming focused on improving college aspirations, increasing the belief that college is an option, and increasing access to higher education for low income individuals seeking higher education.

Member Duties : This project will support applicants and students with low income as they move through the process of applying, enrolling, and becoming successful college students at Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, NH. Enjoy the beautiful seacoast of NH and earn the highest available living allowance! The project has two main areas of focus. One is the continued development and strengthening of a Student Mentor Program, which will recruit and train current GBCC students to reach out and offer guidance and resources to low income students as they move beyond any barriers that arise. The second focus will be to work with college and community partners to collate existing programs, services, and resources as well as identify potential areas for additional service/partnerships.
