Member Duties : UNH Manchester, the urban college of UNH, is committed to the greater Manchester community. Through course work, service projects, volunteerism, and service learning the UNH Manchester students engage with a variety of local community organizations to meet common goals. The VISTA member will support UNH Manchester's continued community engagement activities to the low-income population through the four intersecting projects: 1) to support & administer the projects generated through the college's Food Insecurity Committee, 2) to determine community needs through research and data analysis in collaboration with students in Leadership Academy on food security issues, 3) to explore the viability of effective anti-poverty programming in collaboration with the college's center for Civic and Community Engagement, and 4) to support the efforts of the new Center for Civic and Community Engagement with special attention toward recruiting students for participatory action projects.
