Program Support Member - Higher Achievement
 
 
 
The Program Support Member is a full-time stipend volunteer position, made available through partnership with the AmeriCorps Program. The term of service will begin in September and end in August, with the option to renew for a second term. The position includes direct involvement with scholars and tasks to support Higher Achievement’s progressive, skills-based cultural and academic model. Serving closely with the Manager of Placement and Recruitment and the Deputy Director, the Program Support Member will support programming for middle school scholars and alumni. Responsibilities will focus on three key areas: 1. high school placement 2. scholar recruitment 3. alumni programs

Member Duties : The Program Support Member will typically serve Monday through Friday with some Saturday hours meeting with families and scholars. The Member will serve primarily at the DC Metro office but also at our seven (7) Achievement Centers throughout the city at school-based sites and giving presentations at various elementary schools to potential scholars. Member will travel to different school sites throughout their year of service.
