Financial Independent Center Associate VISTA
 
 
 
The poverty rate for people with disabilities is 28.4 percent, nearly double the U.S. national average. One in three people with disabilities live in poverty. People with disabilities are less likely to have a financial literacy training and are severely un- banked. The VISTA will work on expanding the work of FIC by developing a training module for financial coaches and design for the formation of an Advisory Committee to guide the work of FIC.

Member Duties : 1. First objective of this assignment is to develop an Advisory Committee AC format. 2. Second objective that this VISTA is to accomplish is to develop a financial coach training module through working with the Executive Director, current FIC AC members, financial coaches and staff. 3. Third objective will be to design a marketing plan to attract both financial coaches and AC members.
