Hopewell – Webber Camden Youth Center (MLC)
Hopewell enriches lives and empowers the Northside community, addressing the lack of musical arts experiences throughout North Minneapolis by fostering a vibrant and active arts community where musical enrichment is both accessible and relevant. We are creating the Webber Camden Youth Center to offer a recording studio, technology access, homework support and a safe space to be creative for teens in North Minneapolis. There is a high demand for access to a recording studio, software and computer time in our neighborhood but very little access. Our Literacy Leader will make a difference in the lives of young people by increasing capacity for our youth center to better serve youth in our community. In addition, our leader will gain experience in program evaluation, volunteer training and outreach strategies. Hopewell offers a fun and unique experience as a VISTA and is seeking someone who is passionate about music and youth education and enrichment. Additional benefits include opportunities to network in local music community, membership at Affinity Plus Credit Union, as well as access to instruments and a recording studio.
