MediCorps - Summer - Office Assistant
 
 
 
The Viola Startzman Clinic is a vibrant safety net clinic serving the most vulnerable patients in Wayne and Holmes Counties. Our team of passionate staff and volunteers thinks outside of the box to meet the needs of our neighbors. The VISTA member who accepts this position will join our current team along with 3-4 other VISTA members in helping the clinic to expand our capacity and keep the flow of the clinic moving during a very busy transition time. This summer we will be completing the launch of a satellite location, entering the final stages of an electronic medical record transition, and investigating a third location to be opened in 2019. This VISTA will help keep daily tasks moving at the clinic as well as engage with us in planning and implementing these major projects. The VISTA member will be a second set of hands at our front desk, the command center for the clinic, helping to coordinate patient communication and enhance patient experience while at the clinic.

Member Duties : This VISTA member will be serving as an extension of our clerical staff and volunteer team this summer. This VISTA will help with patient communication (answering phones, making reminder calls, following up with patients on various needs), patient appointment scheduling, utilization of our text message appointment reminder system, loading patient information into our electronic heath record and much more. In addition, this VISTA will assist with marketing and PR tasks such as social media and website updates, newsletters, brochure creation and much more. A successful VISTA will have an outgoing and pleasant personality, a good phone demeanor, excellent computer skills and be comfortable working on social media platforms.
