SEWA-Aifw Serves the underserved vulnerable populations of South Asians in a culturally specific way. Sewa’s programs are focused on educating South Asians about wellness - wellness of the body and mind, and wellness within family and community. Programs create access to professionals and volunteers who are culturally competent, in most instances to professionals who speak the language of the client; and, for the clients create access to wellness, health care and domestic violence prevention, education and intervention in a culturally relevant manner

Member Duties : Vista Project Planner will create system for Sewa’s Increased ability to recruit, select, screen, train, and recognize volunteers. • Indicator: Create a complete volunteer management system that is documented and updated. • Target:Create Job descriptions for volunteers and update, training manual and workshops and pilot, data collection processes that are updated and documented, system policies developed. Develop recommendation for volunteer management software that will meet program needs. • Description of Data Collection: The VISTA member and supervisor will meet weekly to update progress. The VISTA member will provide completed documents/recommendations to supervisor. Vista Project Planner will create system for Sewa’s Increased ability to recruit, select, screen, train, and recognize volunteers.
