American Indian Family Center - Development Specialist (MCN)

The American Indian Family Center (“AIFC”) was established in 1996 as an “American Indian Urban Center,” providing comprehensive and holistic services to American Indian individuals and families in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The AIFC vision is to be the place "Where American Indian Families Thrive." The AIFC mission is to provide American Indian families with programs and services enriched by traditional American Indian values and culture. The AIFC accomplishes its vision and mission through integrated, culturally specific programs that incorporate the medicine wheel (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual components) to address the needs of families. Programs address employment, youth and family services and mental and chemical health support.

Member Duties : AIFC is looking to enhance its protocol for managing recruiting, training, supporting and retaining volunteers and interns to support the programs and services provided to families we serve. There are numerous opportunities for volunteers and interns at AIFC and assistance is greatly needed to assist staff with enhancing these critical services. In addition, it has become apparent through the work of staff in the community that public awareness of AIFC is relatively minimal. As a result, fundraising, outreach, and engagement efforts are needed to support initial and ongoing partner and donor connections and fiscal support.
