*Position filled on a rolling basis; apply today!* The mission of Community Grassroots Solutions is to move the community forward together through collaboration, education, innovation, and employment opportunities. The purpose of the agency is to improve the lives of low-income families specifically Immigrant and Refugee families. The core programs of the organization are: Academic and Positive Developmental Support Program that provides mentoring, mediation and tutoring services for St. Cloud area public school students and Immigrant/Refugee Women & Girls Job Placement Program that helps immigrant and refugee communities to find jobs and also informational sessions that connects community to the services of the organization. The VISTA project will support the organization's core programs, specifically, the Academic and Positive Developmental Support Program and Immigrant/Refugee Women & Girls Job Placement Program through the development of a robust volunteer recruitment and management program, client outreach, and community engagement. Member Duties : VISTA member will research and develop outreach strategies to connect St. Cloud area Immigrant/Refugee Women & Girls to the Job Placement program, develop and implement a plan to recruit, train, and retain volunteers to support this program, and build collaborative relationships with local employers. VISTA member will also develop and implement an outreach plan to inform and engage families to participate in the Academic and Positive Developmental Support Program and develop and implement a plan to recruit, train, and coordinate program volunteers. The goal of this project is to build our volunteer capacity to support these critical programs aimed to break the cycle of poverty.
