Hancock County Opiate Task Force - Public Info Coordinator
 
 
 
The Hancock County Opiate Task Force is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as the Public Information/Health Promotion Coordinator, responsible for increasing communication channels, promoting community outreach efforts, and helping to coordinate the efforts of a robust collaborative organization. Since 2010, the Task Force has engaged in community-based processes aimed at increasing awareness and educational opportunities focused on the opioid crisis; supporting prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery based services; and promoting legislative and policy efforts that strive to promote best-practices in substance use disorder issues. Involving over 70 members and over 30 partner organizations, the Task Force maintains four standing committees addressing Community Awareness, Medical Workforce, Education Workforce, and Legislative Issues. The Task Force works to also advance the objectives of the Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services, which is the statutory planning authority for behavioral health services in Hancock County.

Member Duties : The Public Information/Health Promotion Coordinator’s responsibilities will include: attending Task Force meetings, creating Task Force meeting reports; maintain Task Force Database; coordinate communications through various media; assist with grant writing efforts to seek funding to support the Task Force; implement the We All Know Someone Campaign; manage Task Force social media accounts; organize and support trauma-informed care learning opportunities; promote the Kernels for Life program throughout Hancock County; and coordinate and promote local CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) program.
