Recovery-Oriented System of Care Coordinator
 
 
 
The ADM Board is located in Akron, the county seat of Summit County, Ohio. ADM is responsible for planning, funding, monitoring and evaluating prevention, treatment and support services for all residents of Summit County who are impacted by substance use disorders and/or mental illness. We are in the process of evaluating the programs and services we fund to identify any gaps in services and/or opportunities to insure the residents of Summit County have reasonable access to the behavioral health resources they need. You will learn about the current resources available, create a mapping of key services and programs and collect and evaluate feedback from community stakeholders. With this information we aim to identify strategies to help insure that we offer a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that are family and person-centered and builds on the strengths and resilience of those accessing our system. You can help ensure that we, in partnership with the larger community, are able to provide the best services and supports to enable those seeking help with a substance use disorder or mental illness have access to the most necessary services, and a voice to determine the resources they need to live their best life. The applicant should hold a four year degree in behavioral sciences or similar or four years of relevant work experience or a combination thereof. The applicant should be independent, possess strong writing skills and enjoy public speaking. The applicant should have experiences with MS Office Suite and project planning.

Member Duties : As a VISTA member at the ADM Board, you will help identify gaps and opportunities to increase access and awareness of prevention, treatment and supportive services for local residents impacted by substance use disorders and/or mental illness. Major activities will include becoming familiar with the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Model, reviewing existing stakeholder feedback and helping to collect additional information to help develop materials and strategies that will help insure resources are easily accessible. This will be achieved by participating in community meetings, creating an inventory of available services, collecting information from focus groups to help inform the mentioned deliverables. We encourage those with lived experience to apply! VISTAs serve the community through indirect service.
