MTCC - Exploration Works - Summer Associate

ExplorationWorks Science Center’s mission is to ignite a lifelong love for science to enrich Montana's future. ExplorationWorks offers hands-on exhibits, programs, workshops, classes, and camps for kids, youths, families, seniors, as well as school and community groups. ExplorationWorks addresses community needs by helping kids, families, and adults transform book-based STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) knowledge into hands-on real life experiences. Through collaborations with organizations that reach and serve at-risk and low-income populations, the goal is to mitigate summer learning loss through science-rich, educational summer programming.

Member Duties : During the entire term of service, the member will deliver hands-on STEM summer programming to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, track student interest in STEM careers as the summer progresses, increase the visibility of ExWorks by attending community events and partnering with community organizations in delivering hands-on STEM programming, promote the Family Access Membership program, which helps increase access to the science center for economically disadvantaged families, with the goal of increasing membership in the program by 15 families, actively promote and recruit for volunteer opportunities at ExplorationWorks, and provide support for the current volunteer program.
