The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of public mental health and addiction treatment and recovery services delivered to the residents of Cuyahoga County. The ADAMHS Board is a quasi-independent part of county government, governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board contracts with provider agencies to deliver services that assist clients on the road to recovery. The Board also provides education, prevention, treatment and recovery services (mental health and substance use) information throughout the County; works with other local, state and federal organizations to increase awareness, education and advocate for policies that support mental health and addiction recovery; and, funds the local crisis hotline: 216-623-6888 and crisis text line 741741. The ADAMHS Board VISTA member program is designed to strengthen community efforts to combat the opioid epidemic in Cuyahoga County through development and sharing of research, prevention and educational materials and activities. Our VISTA member will be able to participate in multiple, no-cost, training opportunities throughout the service year.
