Six County Community Organizer

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board is responsible for seeing that public mental health and alcohol/drug recovery services are available to the resident of Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble & Perry counties by facilitating a Recovery-Oriented System of Care that promotes mental health and supports the recovery of those who need treatment in our service area. Our goal with the County Hub program to combat opioid addiction is to 1) strengthen county and community efforts to combat opioid addiction; 2) educate youth and adults about the dangers of opioid addiction and the negative effects It has on society; 3) promote family building and workforce development as way of combating opioid addiction in communities; 4) encourage community engagement in efforts to combat opioid addiction. To achieve these results, The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board needs a strong VISTA member to provide the resources, guidance, and infrastructure it takes to make progress on these issues, which is where the Six County Community Organizer comes in.
