Member Duties : Camp Fire offers service, leadership, outdoor, and camp programs. We provide a nurturing, constructive and fun environment for young people to discover their sparks, unique skills, passions, and interests; adopt a growth mindset; and combat adverse childhood experiences which leads to better attendance and performance in school and higher graduation rates. The goal of the VISTA assignment is to develop a Community Needs Assessment tool specifically for Camp Fire and implement that tool in the communities of Bend, La Pine, Sisters, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras. To inform the development of future Camp Fire programs that will cater to the specific needs of those communities, in particular to serve with a strong foundation of equity and inclusion and focus on the needs of families in poverty.
