MTCC -Boys & Girls Clubs of Cascade County- Summer Associate

The mission of The Boys and Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Promoting Healthy Food Habits will work to engage our community in summer food services and farm to table activities in order to help teach our Club members, families, and the other youth we serve healthy food habits. The Boys and Girls Club believe these habits will help prevent the health problems that are so pervasive in our community. Summer Brain Gain and its related programs and activities are designed to prevent summer learning loss, which is disproportionately felt by economically disadvantaged students. This project targets students from five Title 1 elementary schools and one public housing authority community, as well as at risk youth being served by other community organizations through outreach efforts. Summer Brain Gain programs will provide engaging academic enrichment opportunities supported by our larger organization wide efforts to eliminate barriers to access families face in reaching an out of school program such as availability, affordability, and transportation. This will help ensure that those who need summer learning loss prevention programs most can access them.
