Health Outcomes Poverty Coordinator
 
 
 
The Poverty Coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing development, management, administration and evaluation of Creating Healthy Communities Poverty (housing, income, education, and well-being) efforts and initiatives. The coordinator will work with Creating Healthy Community Coalition partners and communities throughout the City of Cincinnati to raise awareness of the links between healthy living and poverty, and to increase public support for social determinants of health-related strategies that promote healthy living to reduce chronic diseases or other life events that may cause poverty. Member Duties : The Poverty Coordinator VISTA will lead a team of about 15 community members through a strategic planning process to address poverty in Cincinnati. As the Poverty Coordinator you will participate in Health Equity Training and master the following topics: healthy eating, active living, tobacco free living, food deserts, incomplete streets, prevention of chronic disease. You will be responsible for subcommittee recruitment, attend poverty collaborative meetings, and work with the Creating Healthy Communities coalition to establish strategies that the coalition can support.
