2018-19 WAFCC Standards Implementation - Janesville, WI
 
 
 
The mission of the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC) is to support, strengthen, and advocate for the uniqueness of the Wisconsin free and charitable clinics, the patients they serve, and the communities with whom they partner. The location for this project is HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. in Janesville, WI. The mission of HealthNet of Rock County, Inc is to provide free or low cost health, dental and vision care to low income, uninsured, and underinsured residents of Rock County, WI. This care is provided through the dedicated efforts of over 81 volunteer providers and 21 staff members. To continue providing quality care, increase our current fundraising levels, and expand the services of our clinic, additional administrative capacity is needed. The overarching goal of this VISTA member position is to increase the capacity of HealthNet of Rock County, Inc. and the WAFCC to meet these new challenges that promotes organization sustainability.

Member Duties : At Heath Net of Rock County in Janesville, WI the member will: 1. Recruit new volunteers and establish a volunteer management system 2. Coordinate activities for HealthNet of Rock County to achieve Gold Level- WAFCC Standards of Excellence 3. Provide assistance with development and fundraising activities at HealthNet of Rock County 4. Develop and implement QA/QI (Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement) activities to improve patient care 5. Provide assistance to the resource and fund development activities of the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics. The VISTA Member will be located in Janesville, WI.
