Neighborhood Development Alliance - Community Liaison (MCN)

NeDA is a nonprofit community development corporation that builds both rental and ownership housing on St. Paul’s West Side. NeDA also provides bilingual housing and financial advising to the metro-area’s Latino and low-income populations. Neighborhood Development Alliance (NeDA) seeks a self-driven and outgoing AmeriCorps VISTA as a Community Liaison. This person will assist NeDA staff in developing programing for our new 40 apartment unit mixed-use building on St. Paul’s West Side, Villa del Sol. This building houses 75 children and 47 adults and has a beautiful 3,000 square foot community space. The Program Associate will work with new residents on developing programs that meet employment, educational, cultural and social needs of the residents. Our goal is to showcase and utilize Villa del Sol’s community space by connecting with dedicated partners in the neighborhood. The Community Liaison will conduct outreach to community and nonprofit groups to assess needs, wants, and goals for the space. Ultimately, she/he will create a diverse offering of programs that will appeal to both residents and community at large.
