Standpoint -Communications & Sustainability Specialist (MCN)
 
 
 
Standpoint, formerly the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project, is a statewide, non-profit whose mission is to promote justice for domestic and sexual violence victims. Standpoint attorneys and advocates provide legal advice, legal advocacy, support and safety planning to victims on a daily basis. We also provide support and training to advocates and attorneys who serve victims within their own rural or metro communities. Standpoint intentionally focus on communities who have historically been underserved and continually works to expand on the agency’s ability to serve ALL victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Member Duties : The VISTA will accelerate a new Standpoint project focused on providing immigration legal assistance to youth labor trafficked victims by helping to organize trainings and performing other duties, as needed. The VISTA will update and maintain social media and fundraising projects, making sure to focus on being inclusive and accessible to various underserved communities. This will increase Standpoint’s capacity for productive, effective communications through the website and social media platforms. The VISTA will help sustain funding through grant writing and donor database maintenance.
