The Northside Economic Opportunity Network mission is to expand economic development opportunities & build wealth for low- to moderate-income entrepreneurs in north Minneapolis & surrounding communities. We are driven by the impact we make as entrepreneurs start, grow & thrive in Minneapolis & the surrounding communities we serve. Key programs of the organization include: • Business Services: We offer a la carte business services from accounting, legal, marketing & more! • Business Incubator: Clients receive full-service technical assistance within industry-specific business incubator programs. Currently, we offer business incubator programs in food, retail, construction/landscaping/janitorial industries. • Small Business Workshop: Our Small Business Ed. workshops are led by industry professionals, designed to build entrepreneurial knowledge. These free workshops & trainings are designed to navigate entrepreneurs throughout the development of their business. • NEON Spaces: At NEON we offer member-based co-working a private office spaces to help entrepreneurs and businesses grow. • Marketplaces: NEON offers our clients curated marketplace opportunities where clients can test the viability of their products and services. Though this program clients can learn how to improve their products and service offerings and gather real-time customer feedback as they grow your business. • Enterprises: NEON's enterprise divisions provide opportunities in landscaping, construction, janitorial and food industries, as existing ventures continue to grow through job creation and wealth building - taking business to the next level. **This position is part of the C3 TwinCities Program. C3 TwinCities offers a unique cohort experience rooted in a social justice framework. It also offers $400 of monthly housing support, transportation support & professional development opportunities. Member Duties : Build capacity & sustainability strategies & tactics in community engagement, business development, & communications areas at NEON. If successful, more entrepreneurs and micro-business owners will have the resources & tools to start and/or grow their business hereby creating jobs, building wealth & thriving local economies. You will: - Develop a community engagement strategy around NEON’s programming & service. -Build capacity around NEON’s business development work including the creation of more effective data tracking & management systems. - Develop & execute a dynamic marketing & communications plan. -Engage with the Nexus Community Wealth Building Cohort (Nexus Community Partners, City of Lakes Community Land Trust, Northside Economic Opportunity Network, Appetite for Change, & Merrick Community Services) to build capacity through shared learning activities, communications and aligned programming.
 
Program Benefits : Living Allowance ,  Relocation Allowance ,  Stipend ,  Health Coverage* ,  Training ,  Housing ,  Housing, $400 mo; $50-gas or $90-bus mo. ,  Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend ,  Childcare assistance if eligible ,  Education award upon successful completion of service .
