In this position, you will expand the capacity of the Canopy to reach new partners, improve training offerings, enhance communications and cultivate additional resources to advance the organization’s mission. This opportunity offers work in overcoming injustice through equitable opportunity; developing results-focused and strategic thinking; growth of skills in understanding through active listening and communication; learning about resource stewardship; project and time management practice; developing skills in team accountability. Skills we are looking for include writing/editing, computers/technology, written and oral communications, organizational and time management, critical thinking and problem solving, team work. Familiarity with social media, website design programs like WordPress, and email marketing programs like MailChimp desired. The Canopy office is a fun, modern office space located in the heart of Northeast Denver in a shared building which houses a variety of non-profits. A vehicle is not required, but reliable transportation within the Denver area is important. Our team generally works 8am to 5pm, with occasional varied meetings time and locations. We value work life balance and offer opportunities for flexible work schedules and environments. Member Duties : You’ll help expand the capacity of our cutting-edge organization to reach new partners, improve our trainings, enhance communications and cultivate additional resources to advance our mission. In this position, you’ll focus on creating, streamlining, and maintaining systems, tools, and process in the areas of resource development, outreach and communications, training and toolkit creation, and broader nonprofit management. Examples of concrete tasks you would be working on include: exploring best practices around resource development, social media, and coaching; updating canopy tools and tracking systems; entering and analyzing data related to resource development, communication tools, and training approaches; assisting with training and conference planning and execution. You’ll have opportunities to work in teams within the organization, get to know community and statewide partners, organizations, and initiatives, and build your skills and knowledge.
