College & Career Academy of Akron Recruitment Coordinator

47% of Akron Public Students live in Single Parent Families. Students need a caring, consistent adult role model in their lives. Our ability to pair a student with a mentor is only as good as the tools we use to do it. The iC.A.R.E. VISTA will help us to increase program efficiency and mentor retention. iC.A.R.E. is an school based mentoring program in Summit County that works to provide students with weekly mentoring through their academic career. In the last school year alone over 400 students received mentoring services.
