SEG Diversity & Inclusion Initiative Coordinator
 
 
 
Based in Rhode Island, Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) helps grow businesses that change lives, harnessing the creative energy of its entrepreneurs to cultivate high-impact, purpose-driven, sustainable businesses. Under the supervision of the Program Director, this full-time, Providence-based Diversity & Inclusion Initiative Assistant Manager position will work with SEG staff and Board of Directors to develop, coordinate and expand outreach efforts into more diverse communities (with a focus on women and people of color) via partnerships and events. The VISTA will also coordinate and continue to develop our Incubator program that builds a pipeline of diverse social entrepreneurs. The VISTA will also drive progress and help set strategy for SEG with a D & I Task Force made up of Board, Staff and community members.

Member Duties : -Strengthen existing, and develop new partnerships with community based organizations that serve the traditionally underrepresented populations with a focus on women and people of color; -Support continued development of and next steps with a community asset map of existing and desired partnerships; -Identify and recruit mentors of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities; -Work with other staff to develop and track goals, continue developing existing services to support diverse communities; -Expand and improve Incubator technical assistance program; -Create language and content appropriate outreach materials; -Support events targeted for diverse communities; -Work directly with the portfolio of ventures to understand their needs and connect them with the services and support they need; -Coordinate Advisory Council--Task Force and support development of strategic D & I initiatives as necessary.
