CCNYPA City of Geneva VISTA

Building off the data compiled by our previous VISTA during his two terms, we will be looking for our year three VISTA to begin recommending or implementing best practices and policies to address food access and justice. These best practices and policies will look to cultivate and leverage community resiliency. We have already had success strengthening community bonds by increasing community partners working collaboratively to provide residents with a network of appropriate resources, by our year one and two VISTA. The strengthened core of programs and organizations will increase empowerment of low-income families and will continue to grow. There will be a specific effort to involve youth, and receive their buy-in on efforts. Building off data, involving youth, and developing overall community outreach and coordination has been shown to increase food access and justice, while also boosting local economies.
