Begun in 1971, CRC became an independent 501c3 in 1973. Today as a community based social service agency, CRC delivers a wide array of human services in response to an identified need within a defined geographic area. CRC is comprised of a food pantry, senior programming, youth services, and Kinship Care.

Member Duties : The VISTA's projects will help reduce social isolation for adults age 50 and older and help to ensure they remain in their homes and a part of the community for as long as possible. This position is a good fit for someone who is interested in gerontology, volunteer management, program development, and healthy aging. Projects will include participating in the Age Friendly Columbus Initiative, working collaboratively with the Greater Columbus Network of Villages, recruiting new program members and volunteers, and assisting in the development of innovative opportunities for social engagement, education, and health/wellness for members. The person in this position will need to utilize time management skills, be self-directed, and oversee projects from beginning to end. The member will be able to attend a variety of training opportunities related to aging and social service delivery and network with professionals and elected officials in the aging field.
