AmeriCorps at Providence Children's Museum

Providence Children's Museum is an active place where kids, parents and educators play and learn together. Join MuseumCorps and be part of a team that designs and leads programs for inner-city children in the greater Providence area. Facilitate hands-on "Learning Clubs" for elementary school-aged children in after-school and summer programs, lead activities in Head Start pre-schools, and develop connections between the Museum and surrounding communities. Members will be assigned to serve on a service team, facilitate learning in the Museum's hands-on exhibits and programs, and participate in scheduled training sessions at the Museum and through the AmeriCorps program. The AmeriCorps program at the Providence Children’s Museum is made possible through an annual grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service. This is a three quarter time position (1200 hours) that serves full-time hours (36 hours per week). How to apply: Applicants must complete the online AmeriCorps application and submit a resume and a personal statement. For more information, visit http://www.childrenmuseum.org/ameriCorps.asp
