ShareCorps -Urban Mission- Summer Feeding Program Assistant
 
 
 
The Urban Mission has deep roots in the Ohio Valley. For over 50 years the UM has provided food, shelter, clothing, and other essential services to a population scarred from industry loss, educational inequity, and deep socio-economic divides within its own community. At present, more than 2,550 families rely on the UM for one or more of its services each month. Th eUrban Mission will be serving Jefferson Co. as a 3rd year sponsor for the Ohio Department of Education & USDA Summer Food Service Progra (SFSP). The Urban Mission will host open sites during the months of June, July, and August providing free nutritional lunches and fun activities for participants.

Member Duties : Work closely with the SFSP program director to help manage the Urabn Mission's participation in SFSP. Responsibilities include: helping to monitor sites; helping ensure program compliance with the Urban Mission AND State regulatory agencies; assisting in required training; assisting with site record keeping and documentation; acting a liasion between monitors and site supervisors and other staff; communicating program difficulties, accomplishments, and challenges to the SFSP Director for program improvement.
