ShareCorps -Thea Bowman Center- Summer Youth Associate

The Thea Bowman Center is a community of neighbors, volunteers, and friends of Mt. Pleasant dedicated to affirming the spirit, engaging the mind, and nurturing the body with hope serving children, families, and the elderly. The Health and Wellness/Food Support program serves approximately 200 participants - men, women, children, and the elderly - and is prepared and served by four partner churches. The food pantry receives weekly support from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and other donations of food to serve individuals in need in Mt Pleasant. Adult education classes are available 4 days per week and twice daily. We have a children's after-school program and summer program that provides a safe place for children to grow and learn. Both of these programs include a partnership with the Greater Cleveland Foodbank and Summer Food Service Program to provide meals to children k-18 in the community.
